After a long and difficult time, we are thrilled to be finally opening our static caravan park in Herefordshire again on 12th April 2021.
All Covid-19 guidance must be followed, in particular a face covering must be worn in any public indoor space and everyone must continue to practice social distancing at all times.
It is a legal requirement that we take part in NHS Test and Trace. Every visitor must scan the NHS QR code using their NHS Covid-19 App, or provide their name and contact details, not just the lead member of the group. Contact details must include name, telephone number/email, date of visit, arrival time and departure time. Records will be kept for 21 days.
People can meet in groups of up to 6 people, or as a group of 2 households. A group made up of 2 households can include more than 6 people, but only where all members of the group are from the same 2 households (each household can include an existing support bubble, if eligible) or an exemption applies.
Social distancing must be maintained between people who do not live together or share a bubble.
People are not permitted to meet others they do not live with (or share a bubble with).
It will be great to have everyone back on the park.
In the meantime, some spring pictures:
We have such fantastic wildlife here at Fairview, with our fishing lake attracting many birds, mammals and amphibians. It was amazing to see an otter in our pool, unfortunately our precious fish were not so pleased. By installing our new otter proof fencing, we can encourage the otters to inhabit the Humber brook adjoining the park instead. This then protects our prize carp for our fishermen with their nets at the ready!
So no more midnight feasts for our cheeky night time visitor.
Visit our David Bellamy page to see the otter feeding.
Following on from the government announcement on Monday, if all the government targets are reached, we are hopeful that we will be able to open for the 2021 season on 12th April.
“The storm always passes,
It won’t last forever.
The rain will stop and give way to good weather.
The brightest and warmest of days still to come.
Spring is awakening,
The sunshine will come.”
After a significant amount of snow at our holiday park in Herefordshire, we have been transformed into a winter wonderland. Take a look at the photos from Fairview today. The surrounding countryside has a blanket of snow covering it and even the fishing lake has frozen over. Thankfully our all our holiday homes for sale are unaffected.
We will await for the thaw to come soon but in the meantime we will enjoy our new whiter landscape.
Great news! Its official! We can re-open on 4th July. This will be subject to us satisfying the government officials, we have taken the right measures and followed the guidelines, to be able to re-open safely. All owners will be contacted over the next few days, to let you know the safety measures we are taking and how we are supporting our owners through these difficult times.
In the meantime, another busy morning on the park yesterday. We took delivery of a brand new Willerby Avonmore. We are sure the new owners will be delighted with their purchase!
So until 4th July…….we can’t wait to see you all!
We are hopeful that we will be able to re-open the park early July, if the current government guidelines can be met. When we have a definite date we will be contacting all holiday home owners individually. Bizarrely, although you may not visit your holiday home, we are open for caravan sales. If anyone would like to book an appointment, or would like details of our current caravans for sale, please contact the park.
In the meantime the video link below is a taste of summer at Fairview. The wildflower meadow is bursting into life and we are pleased to announce the safe arrival of seven new baby moor hens!
We look forward to welcoming you back very soon.
Whilst you can’t visit, we hope you are keeping safe and well.
Whilst you are safely at home, we are looking after the park, until you can return to your special place.
We miss you!
Following advice from our trade organisation the BH&HPA, and the government we have made the difficult decision to close the park from midnight tonight. We are asking owners who are not on the park not to come here, and are asking owners who are already on the park to please go home as soon as possible. We are following the Government’s guidance so closing to protect you and the wider society.
We ask owners on the park not to stay in your holiday caravan homes at this time and to be sensitive towards the views and needs of the local community and NHS.
Over the last 24 hours, there has been an increasing and understandable concern in local communities towards the owners of second homes and caravans, as well as holiday visitors. The government’s clear guidance is that there must be no unnecessary or non-essential travel.
Please see the latest Government advice on coronavirus.
“Essential travel does not include visits to second homes, camp sites, caravan parks or similar, whether for isolation purposes or holidays. People should remain in their primary residence. Not taking these steps puts additional pressure on communities and services that are already at risk.”
These are unprecedented times. We all have a responsibility to consider not just ourselves but to the people of our country, the local community and on this park.
We have to make decisions and take actions which were unimaginable a few weeks ago.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us by phone or email.
We thank you in anticipation of your co-operation.
Sending our best wishes in these difficult times,
Stephen and Karen
We are all aware of the governments announcements and their attempts to minimise the spread of the Coronavirus outbreak. We would like to reassure you that our holiday park is still open for you to come and enjoy your holiday home, until we receive any further guidance from the government.
To keep our customers as safe as possible, we will be minimising social contact and adopting stringent hand washing procedures. Reception will currently remain closed, unless by prior appointment only. We can of course be contacted by phone or email and will happily assist if you need any help with anything. In the meantime, please follow the government guidelines if you think you may have come into contact with anyone who may have the virus.
We send our best wishes in these challenging times, keep safe everyone.
Stephen and Karen
On 14th September 2019 Fairview Trekkers Karen Morgan and David Smith took part in the challenging 13 mile trek26 Brecon Beacons, raising a fantastic £968.50 for the Alzheimer’s Society. Over 900 people took part in this amazing day raising over £225,000 for this very worthy cause. Thank you so much to everyone who has donated xx
